Because the Napier buildings were built by specific businesses to replace their previous structures, many buildings have the names of the businesses, and two had personalized touches.
At the top below the year, and below the roof zig-zag edges,
are shamrocks to indicate Mr. Munster's Irish heritage.
Mr. Parker ordered a thistle, to indicate his Scottish heritage,
at the top of the building. Not to be outdone, his wife asked
for lion heads along the awning support line to indicate her forebears in Britain!
